Who's Torrie Q. Jones?

Torrie Q. Jones is a Black urban fantasy author and creator of Reborn the Book Series, a myth-inspired fantasy saga that blends ancient mythology, supernatural politics, action, romance, and the complexities of human identity. A native New Yorker with roots in Queens and Upstate New York, Torrie draws inspiration from her fascination with world mythology, diverse cultures, and the limitless possibilities of imagination.

Her literary journey began with a desire to explore mythology through a different lens, creating stories where Black characters take center stage in worlds traditionally dominated by familiar interpretations of gods, supernatural beings, and ancient legends. Through Reborn the Book Series, Torrie introduces readers to interconnected stories of individuals reborn with ancient powers, each navigating their own journey of identity, loyalty, love, and destiny.

The series began with Sun (2021), followed by Luck (2023), and continues with the forthcoming third installment, Moon. Each novel introduces new characters and perspectives while expanding a shared universe of mythological creatures, supernatural alliances, and an ancient war unknown to humanity.

Beyond writing, Torrie is an avid reader, video game enthusiast, anime lover, and traveler whose interests continually influence her creative perspective. Her passion for storytelling extends beyond the page through literary events, author engagements, and opportunities to connect with readers. She has participated in notable literary events, including the Harlem Book Fair and Black History Month Literary Weekend. Recognized with a Creative Proclamation from the City of New Orleans, Torrie continues to share her work with audiences who appreciate imaginative fiction and diverse representation.

Through her writing, Torrie Q. Jones seeks to challenge the boundaries of traditional fantasy, bringing fresh perspectives, culturally diverse characters, and compelling stories to readers who believe extraordinary worlds can exist just beyond the one we know.
